This is the second offering in our new Limited Release series of small-batch specialty coffees.

This wonderful coffee comes from Finca Rincón De Paz. The farm is located at 1900 masl in the middle of a mountain located in the snowy Choqesafra valley of the Inkawasi district. The mountain supports an abundance of flora (including orchids), and fauna (including the spectacled bear, the mishasho, and many wild birds).

Juan Valenzuela Ostua, whose family owns Finca Rincón De Paz, is a member of the Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Valle de Incahuasi (CACVI), which is made up of 520 producers from the area. The producers all cultivate their farms in harmony with the environment, per Inca ancestral customs, and mutual work in the tradition of Minka and Ayni. In the Quechua language Minka means “let's work all together for a common goal.” Ayni means “today for me and tomorrow for you.” A beautiful way to support community and work for the benefit of all the producers.

When you take your first sip of this Peru Geisha, you might mistake it for a natural process bean from Ethiopia. With its vibrant acidity, juicy beginning, and tea-like finish, it's easy to be fooled. This coffee is fully washed, yet it retains all the liveliness and complexity we seek in Geisha varietals. You'll discover tasting notes of blood orange, lime, rooibos tea, and jasmine in this bright, citrusy coffee.
