Haute Sweets Patisserie will be making their famous New Orleans style beignets at the NCCR Coffee Lab! There’s something special about having these pastries fresh out of the fryer and they are delicious with a cup of coffee. AND the State Fair of Texas will be over, so come celebrate available parking in Expo Park with us! LAISSEZ LE BON TEMPS ROULER!

August Cupping - SOLD OUT

Join us on the first Saturday of the month for a coffee cupping! This is an opportunity for you to taste a few of our coffees, learn about their origins, and experience how industry professionals create flavor profiles.

This month we'll be tasting our current Central and South American offerings. We have just recently broken into fresh crop Colombian and Guatemalan coffees. Both of these coffees work well as medium roasts with nice caramelization and sugar development. However, each develops a different kind of sweetness, and each has its own fruit undertones.

To provide a positive experience for our guests, we will limit the capacity of the cupping to 20 people. Register now!

July Brew Class - SOLD OUT

Our brew classes are geared toward helping you brew better coffee. We cover a wide range of brew methods and techniques with the intent of making participants aware of best practices. Each class has a specific focus, but we welcome all of your questions.

Summer time = makin’ cold brew. In this class, we’ll show you how to start and finish your cold brew. Then we’ll taste a wide range of cold brewed coffees so you can experience what’s good about cold brew. We'll talk about brew times, water chemistry, hot blooming, and anything else you want to know. It's recommended you eat before this class because cold brew contains more caffeine than your typical hot cup of coffee. This class will have extra emphasis on tasting results rather than brewing since the brew process is so time consuming.

The cost of this class is $10 a person and seating is limited, so secure your spot now!

Brew Better Coffee Master Class - Tasting Class - SOLD OUT

This class highlights how our nose, tongue, and experiences combine to form what we taste in a cup of coffee. We will perform exercises in smell and flavor to help you isolate different aspects of coffee. The class will conclude with a group cupping. Participants should leave with a solid understanding of how to approach coffee tasting like a professional.

To ensure a positive classroom experience, seating is limited to 10 people. Reservations are made on payment. Cancellations must be made one week prior to start of event.

July Cupping

Our new summertime seasonal blend is here! We call it Firefly because it reminds of those long summer days that stretch on into the night. This blend is smooth, floral, and has a melon finish. At this cupping we will deconstruct Firefly, tasting its components both individually and blended.

Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

Fresh Ethiopian coffee has arrived! In honor of the new crop, we will host a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony at the roastery. This is a unique experience that's all about honoring the coffee that brings so much joy to our lives. Come give thanks to the farmers, sorters, washers, millers, exporters, importers, roasters, and baristas that make your daily cup. We will also prepare an array of Ethiopian coffees for you to sample.
