Many folks new to coffee (and quite a few seasoned pros) will find themselves spending way too much time looking up AeroPress recipes online. The quest for the perfect AeroPress recipe is never ending, but in this class we're making it simple. Tune in and brew like a champ!
In this class we look at the effect of coffee's primary ingredient: water. Water makes up 98% of your brewed coffee, so it is vitally important to the overall flavor. We explore the impact of water by brewing with a variety of store-bought bottled waters, Dallas tap water, and "bespoke" water created with a customized blend of minerals. This class will be primarily focused on tasting rather than brewing.
In this class, you will learn how to make a pour over. We will walk you through the steps and you will get hands-on experience. We'll talk about water, grinding, brewing devices, and pouring technique. This is a fun and informative class for beginners and experienced brewers who want to review the basics.
Summer time = makin’ cold brew. In this class, we’ll show you how to start and finish your cold brew. We'll talk about brew times, water chemistry, hot blooming, and anything else you want to know.
