The goal of this class is to provide students with the knowledge and resources to formulate their own brew water at home. Water has a profound impact on your coffee quality. What has only recently become understood by coffee researchers is which minerals are responsible for the extraction and buffering of coffee acids. By controlling these minerals, we can elicit different profiles from our coffee. In this class, we will discuss which minerals are important and why. We will create different water formulas and test them out by brewing with them. Each student should leave with a custom water formulation of their own creation and the knowledge to continue formulating and experimenting at home.
